Curtiss Wright (CWC) was founded in 1929 – by the Wright brothers – pioneers of early flight, and Glen Curtiss.

In 1929 Curtiss Wright founded the China National Aviation Corporation based in Shanghai in partnership with the Chinese Government. CNAC played a significant role in the history of modern China.  In 1968 MIC joined CWC, now operating over 60 facilities in USA, Canada, Europe and Asia.

Metal Improvement Company (MIC), established in 1945, is an internationally recognized industry leader in the aerospace, automotive, power generation, oil and gas, chemical processing, medical and general engineering industries, providing advanced technologies to enhance the performance of metals and materials.

Our metal finishing services include controlled shot peening, shot peen forming, laser peening, powder coating, superfinishing, heat treatment, thermal coatings, wet treatments (anodizing) and engineered coatings. We have over 60 operating divisions in the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia and can provide on-site processing worldwide.
